The staff was incredible. Special shout out to Samia (sp?) who worked on the 4th floor in the conference rooms and handled food and drinks. She had an infectious smile and attitude! The personnel in the Gold Lounge were also top notch!
I had an overall great stay at The Fairmont, wonderful service at the pool bar, and the spa was incredible. Also my booking experience over the phone was wonderful and helpful. However the only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the front desk staff who seemed to be perturbed by assisting me with parking issues and ordering room service to my room. Need some work in the hospitality department there. maybe they were just tired from busy weekend. But I would stay here again for the perks and spa.
I was charged an unexplained fee at checkout, and when I asked the manager, I was told to contact the booking company. However, the charge appears to be a hotel fee or tax, not related to the booking company. To make matters worse: 1️⃣ The booking company confirmed the charge came from the hotel, not them. 2️⃣ The charge on my credit card lists ‘FAIRMONT AUSTIN AUSTIN USA’ as the merchant — not the booking company. 3️⃣ The front desk printed a receipt showing the fee directly on the hotel bill. Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht wo ich anfangen soll. Das Personal ist nicht nur freundlich, es ist sehr zuvorkommend. Ich war beeindruckt! Das Zimmer ist wunderschön mit einem atemberaubenden Ausblick. Das Gym ist riesengroß und hat alles was man sich wünscht. Vom Frühstück war ich begeistert. Ich hoffe das ich bald wiederkomme
