Our experience was terrific because of the staff. Before arriving, I had called the hotel to ask for a request. Amareah answered the call and from the very start of our conversation I noted how pleasant and personable she was. She proceeded to affirm that my request would be possible. When we arrived, she immediately recognized me by my voice and welcomed us, assuring us that our request was being fulfilled. I'm an elite Marriott member for the last 30 years, and I have never had as bad an experience as staying in this dump. We were traveling for the holiday and made a stop for the night. As others have described, the halls were dark, dingy, and had a strong chemical smell. The bed sheets were stained and the bed felt like we were sleeping on a lumpy raincoat. It was very clean, the service was excellent, I slept very well, and everything was comfortable. The moment we get to the hotel, the entire hotel almost reeks of marijuana smoke. The elevator reminds me of something from final destination, and the room lock looks smashed and in disrepair. The ratings are a bit misleading for this hotel.. renters beware. Lock also doesn't work...
Man I am having a hard night. They need a central humidifier for this place. All the furniture and bed is damp and smells musty. I knew something was wrong when I walked in the lobby because it smells so bad. I can’t sleep and ready to leave. Hotel is old and outdated. This is not Fairfield quality at all. I started to go to Tru but it was an extra 8 mile drive and I was tired. Now I will have to drive tired in the morning. I will never stay here again. Should have read the reviews. That’s on me.
