Facing East is now takeout only so not sure what atmosphere I'm rating, that they have a quick and easy "already made" cooler perhaps? Sure I miss the sit down restaurant but their takeout is just as fresh and delicious as always. The only sad thing is that I always order the same things cause I can't see new things to try! Great food, limited seating
I often think of my first visit to Facing East in 2018, which was my first time trying Taiwanese food. It blew my mind. Back then, the restaurant was a sit down location with excellent service. Now, this location is takeout only. They also have Facing East Time in downtown Bellevue, but without the same menu. I had to get the exact same order, the Hakka style chow fun and the pork "burger" (bao bun). I took my food to a nearby park and enjoyed the exact same quality I'd had several years ago.
