Fox Riverのほとりの巨大な風車があるのが目印です。私もここに来るまで日本庭園の存在には気がつきませんでしたが、歴史を遡ると、1914年頃に造られたもののようです。庭園内は4月から10月の決められた曜日と時間にしか入れませんが、庭園を柵の外から見ることは可能です。鳥居に太鼓橋そして仏教の考えも入れ混じった神仏混合、そして極めつけは富士山まである日本庭園です。是非、コミュニティーの働きかけで末永く維持できればとおもいます。できればここに桜が咲き乱れる風景があればなあと思うロケーションです。
We spent most of our time in the Japanese Gardens. What a break hidden gem! A nice serene place to go. Wonderful volunteers to help welcome and answer any questions. Would recommend going.
