Jeanie Swisher sewed top quality items for me. I needed sleeves sewn on 3 shirts, fabric sewn on a hat, and patches sewn on the hat, sleeves of the shirts, and a patch on a tapestry. She did great sewing work for me and I would highly recommend seeing her for tailoring and alterations. Very satisfied with what I received.

I had the pleasure of working with Jean Swisher on my dress for my daughter's wedding. Three weeks before the wedding, I brought my dress to Jean. She took a lovely dress and made it an incredible lovely dress. Initially it had a round collar, but with Jean's vision, she was able to see that a v-neck would be much more flattering on me, and she was 100% correct. From the owner - A negative review was listed by an unhappy customer a few months back. There were several things going on at the time. It was not the sewing that the customer was unhappy about. Both times she didn't like how she looked in the dress. People that have lost a lot of weight need time to grow into their new image. TV shows like "Yes, to the Dress," "Bridzillas," and "Big Bliss" feature some of the worst conditions in the wedding industry. I am an independent seamstress and I have been working with bridal parties and prom goers since 1982. 2-3% of the time something goes wrong in the process. 97% of my customers are very happy - but the ones that are not make the most noise on the Internet..........Always look for the store owner's side of the story. I would like to say Jeanie did an Ahhhh-mazing job on my dress, it was a sample size 10, I was about a 6, she revamped the whole dress top to bottom and turned it into the beautiful dress I knew it would be! She told me my dress had the biggest bustle she has ever done! If you want someone who knows what they are doing use Jeanie!! My dress had about 6 layers of tule and poof under it and huge gathers on the outside, since I'm only 4'11" we had to really shorten my dress I'm still amazed at how she did it!

Terrible Customer Service – The reviews are correct that she was very disorganized, in regards to scheduling and neatness of her studio/apartment. I wish I had read these reviews prior to meeting with Jean. I had to meet with Jean four times to get the alterations correct for my bridal gown. I gave her ample time to get the work done as well (over 12 weeks). Of the four meetings we had, Jean had double booked me with other consultations. Awesome – The wedding dress I bought was a sample gown from the recently closed shop in Ardmore, Suky Rosan. It was several sizes too large for me. The bodice had to be taken in several inches. In order to do so, Jean had to remove the bodice from the skirt of the gown. The skirt of the gown also had a large portion removed. The dress needed a hem and a bustle for the train.
