Thanks to a misleading contract, our church was charged $500 an hour for 4 hours of work, only to be told that our circulator pump couldn't be fixed. Rather than agreeing to decrease the price per hour, we were told that we had already been given a discounted rate.

Left a small motor to be repaired, and paid the $200 inspection fee. Three months later, given an estimate for nearly $1k for brushes and bearings. I remember them being the shop to go to back in the 80's, but apparently not so much anymore. Followup with a second repair shop cost me 20 dollars, 20 minutes and a brush spring-the bearings were fine. Never again.
