I called F&M auto repair to obtain an estimate for new shocks and struts for a chevy truck. I was told to bring it in to get an estimate. I went in and told them that I had previously called to get an estimate and that they ask me to bring it in. The guy that I talked to ask if I had gotten any other estimates, I told him yes that I had gotten one and he immediately stated that he was FULL with no further comment and went back to his computer and totally ignored me. I certainly would never recommend this outfit..
You don't want to go there. My car had an electrical problem. No brakelights, headlights, electric locks and no radio. Took it to F and M who could not find the problem. They bypassed the problem apparently wiring the brake switch to the fuse box with a 10 amp fusable link. The battery was dead the next day. They replaced the 10 amp with a 30 amp fusable link. We all have different experiences at different businesses. I brought my used Escape there for an oil change, and front brakes. (I had just bought it). After the oil change, I asked the tech if he saw anything under there I needed to know about. I had a blown valve cover gasket and some other stuff wrong. They fixed it and even gave me free spark plugs. My vehicle runs well, and i don't have any reservations about going back.
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL! I had to take the time out to write a review on this place because this is how fed up with this place I am. Years ago after the hurricane I first took my car to them after I drove through really high water and broke down and they did such a good job that I always kept them in mind afterwards, well back then the guy frank was the mechanic and now I guess his sons do all the work and they are horrible!
