Like others, I had a long, frustrating wait to see Dr. Hernandez - and it was worth every minute. He's the best for cataract surgery and treated my very bad right eye perfectly. I can see clearer than I thought possible! Can't wait for the left one at the end of the month. His staff have endured multiple calls from me with all my fears, concerns, etc. and treated me kindly. My followup with Dr. Hottel was quick and easy. I highly recommend this team of professionals!

A 3 hour visit for a eye exam is unacceptable. They need to not overbook. people don’t want to spend the whole day at an appointment and they should definitely allow people to bring drinks if it is in a plastic bottle with a lid. #1star

My mother was a patient here, and had to call and reschedule her appointment due to medical reasons. Because she had rescheduled an entirely different appointment once before, also due to medical issues, she was told that this office would no longer see her as a patient. What kind of patient care and customer service is that?

Staff was very friendly and efficient. I had my first cataract replaced first week of May 2018. Procedure went like clockwork and Dr. Hernandez did a excellent job. I expected some pain like a grain of sand in your eye afterwords but there was none. The night of the surgery about 7 PM Dr. Hernandez called me personally to make sure I was okay and using my drops. It was hard to believe that the doctor himself called me. Very impressed! My second eye was done at the end of May and everything went as scheduled just like the fir... read more

My husband and I have been going here since they opened. We are extremely impressed with the professionalism of this office; they do not lack for personnel to help everybody, all very friendly, compassionate and caring. You don't find that in every office. I have had three separate cornea problems (2 with green chile burns on my eye) and an infection in my RK incision, just this past month. I had the best care and conscientious follow ups to make sure I was okay. Sometimes there is a longer wait than normal, but it is well wo... read more

OK, I had my first (and only) visit to Eyes of the South West. Appointment time 1.10 PM. Was out of there at 15.45. Most of that time was spent in a waiting room, where drinks are not allowed, can't take in a waterbottle. What if you don't have an appointment? My experience was very weird... They wanted to see my driving licence id (as if I would go check on someone elses eyes...). Then they wanted to take my picture, excuse me, I am not a criminal, I need an eye exam. That's it! I felt like a criminal of some sorts. The thi... read more
