I was attempting to schedule an appointment for my mother & I. We have Medicare and Medicaid which cover exams because we're diabetic. Lisa the receptionist was anything but helpful. She made me feel like their office wanted nothing to do with patients without expensive insurance. I take care of my mom who had a stroke & is now disabled. I explained to her that we would financially cover any additional expenses to get our exams for glasses & mine for contacts. Dr. Peter Dormas and staff are wonderful caring people! I have NEVER second guessed my eye exam or the glasses that I purchased!!! All 7 of us go there!
I have had the same eye doctor for years, and just had an exam. He did not do prescriptions, but said felt there was no need for new glasses. Eyecare Center of Wheeling was recommended by a friend and thought I would check to see what a new prescription might do. Arranged an appointment, met with Dr Pockl. There was no need to dilate, he did a thorough exam showing me a very slight change.
