I can’t say enough about how great a doctor Dr. Shield is! I wore glasses or contacts for extreme nearsightedness for 50 years and was warned a few years ago by my previous eye doctor that I was developing cataracts. Unfortunately, the surgeon in my previous eye doctor’s office was abrupt, rushed, impatient and completely terrifying. I left there unsure as to whether I could go through with the surgery. I was told I had to pay $25.00 for my eye exam!! Which I think is completely unfair considering I didn't know that the Eye Doctor in Florence was closing!!
I went to eye physicians of Northampton for years for my contacts and glasses, but finally got sick of wearing them and decided I wanted to explore my options. I met with Dr. Shatz about lasik and he was very honest with me and because of certain issues with my eyes he recommended ASA instead. I have been going to Eye Physicians of Northampton for several years and have NEVER had a bad visit. Dr. Shatz and the whole staff have always been professional and friendly. I would highly recommend Eye Physicians of Northampton to anyone.
Dr Shield and the whole staff were FABULOUS during the entire process. I had double cataract surgery and they have given me my life back. Thank you so much!!!!!
