Very Disappointed. Looking at the menu and the photos on their website my wife and I were expecting some great Peruvian food. The restaurant offered their special Valentine's menu, which is fine but you would expect to have at least some Peruvian food items on the menu if this is your specialty...ceviche, chupita de camerones, a lucuma desert something. Unfortunately the menu lacked any items except for one chicken dish with a mark up on it from the regular menu price (probably the reason they wouldn't let us order off the m... read more
Smokey and Loud! – SMOKING I'm staying at the Royal Sonesta right now and I'm unhappy with it. The main thing is that I'm in a non-smoking room but someone either above or next to me has been smoking non-stop for days and my entire room is filled with smoke. The walls must be really thin. They won't switch rooms for me because "non-smoking rooms are right next to smoking rooms throughout the hotel" and there's "nothing they can do about it." I don't think that's an acceptable response. Additionally, they have a plane of glas... read more
Very Disapointing – Very disappointing restaurant on Bourbon Street. Avoid this restaurant if you can. Service was ok, food was not good. Oysters were ok, but not for New Orleans. Crab Claws were cold and tasted like they were not cooked all the way. Cocktail sauce was the worst I had ever tasted. There was enough horseradish in the cocktail sauce for 10 people. Beers were overpriced also. Server never inquired as to the quality of our meal. I'm a French Quarter resident and can confidently say this is a tourist trap. If you... read more
Food below standard, great view, great service – Great view, great service, but the food is below standard for the price. The lime slice on the welcome cocktail was old and had brown spots. The steak for dinner was overcooked and the Canadian bacon for breakfast still had the plastic wrapper on. Although: The ceviche in Peruvian ricoto cream is excellent.
Cafe Eau at the Chase Park Plaza – The atmosphere of the bar/restaurant is great. The entertainment is great. However, that is where it begins and ends. The drink and dinner menus are ridiculously overpriced. Salads are $14.00. Sandwiches are $14-18.00. We ordered a chicken breast entree, accompanied by potatoes, green beans and a dinner salad. The entree arrived with two to three ounces of chicken breast surrounded by sliced potatoes, four slivers of field greens, and three green beans (the aforementioned "dinner salad" and... read more

If you want fresh oysters this is the wrong place – We visited Desire on a Sunday night and about 3/4 of the tables were occupied. Everything about our experience was good with the exception of the food. - Dozen Oysters - Oysters were not fresh and did not taste good - poor quality - Boudin - I love Boudin but not here - Bland -Buffalo Oysters - What did I expect; the buffalo sauce overpowered any other flavors (I should have known better) - Gumbo - Bland, poor flavor - I didn't eat it - Shrimp Remoulade - Small shrimp serve... read more
the hotel had and extremely friendly and helpful staff that was always willing to go out of their way to help, the most comfortable beds, and is in a great location in north scottsdale.
DON'T EAT HERE!! – We love visiting New Orleans, especially for the wonderful seafood. We recently visited New Orleans and mad the misfortune of trying Desire Oyster Bar. The Waitress was horrible, we had to ask for everything ..... OVER AND OVER. Our drinks were always empty and she forgot to bring out half of our food. When the food FINALLY came, the gumbo was cold I would have asked her to heat it up but she never came back to check on us. I had ordered the fried shrimp, I wish now, I hadn't . About 30 mins after eating I... read more
