Subbed out by Home Depot of Brentwood to install a Clopay garage door. These are my results... Added a header panel which reduced my door opening by seven inches. Judging by the label on the door panels it seems as if they opening was measured at 6’3” when my opening is 7’. Appears that the headroom wasn’t sufficient for a standard install. Rather than install the special low clearance kit which is in stock at Home Depot they installed the above mentioned header board. This is in response to this post. Based on the headroom in this existing home, a 16'x6'3" this is the tallest door possible for the headroom allowed. Unfortunately we cannot jack the house up to create more headroom for the garage door. Old one piece kick out garage doors like the one we removed are no longer in production and only require minimal headroom for installation allowing for a 7' door to be installed on this existing home when it was built.
