No follow-up from Dr or Hospital by phone after surgery. No pain medication, not even a strong lidocaine cream. After calling office still nothing. Post op exam two weeks after surgery. No pain relief entire time. Had to seek out my own. No empathy from this group. Use someone else. Someone who has experienced chronic pain or pain from surgery. 10 or 20% lidocaine script would have really provided relief. 5 months down the road here and I'm still sore at times from the surgery and the area operated on bleeds at times.

Went in to set up gallbladder surgery on recommendation of my gi dr. He refused to do surgery and wanted tests done that gi dr said weren’t necessary. Didn’t even pay attention to answers I gave to questions he asked me. In after notes summary stated answers that I didn’t give.

I have no reason to believe Dr Gribar’s surgical skills are lacking and on the day of surgery he seemed to be very concerned and caring. Once there was nothing else to be done surgically he pretty much disappeared for the next two weeks of hospitalization. When the nurses tried to contact him about post op problems they consistently had a difficult time getting him to respond. Had they not been so persistent I don’t know what would have happened.
