Great Restaurant Had a Great Meal Great Waiter!! – I went to Evo last night and had a great dining experience. I ordered Fried Calamari and Crabcakes with Seafood Chowder. Dinner was excellent and the waiter Matt was so friendly and fun. He made my dining experience a pleasure. Great personality. Hope he is there next time. Waiter made the experience! and the food accompanied it – Food & Service Was Awesome! 2nd time eating with a prefix menu on the boardwalk and this time it was better than flames. Our waiter (Jeff I believe was soo great, efficient & friendly. The Food was awesome My boyfriend loved the lobster bisque as and MY Shrimp scampi was AWESOME! Biggest Shrimp I've had with scampi!
Terrible Food and Bad Service – We went there as several years ago, when they first opened, they were good. How things change! The service was beyond bad. They don't even clear the food off the table after you eat. If you want the waiter, you have to flag him down as otherwise he was not going to come take our order or check on us. WORST PLACE IN ATLANTIC CITY – Labor Day, 9/3/07 around 2:00 PM I?m a local. My family took a walk on the boardwalk and decided to have something light for lunch. My wife and I dine at Evo about 10 times a year. For the last couples of times the foods were below average but nothing too much to be complained about. They really made us angry yesterday. Mediocre decor with the bland food to match. – I will make this quick and simple. I ordered the risotto with shrimp and my wife the grilled jumbo shrimp. The shrimp for both dishes was unbelievably tough. The atmosphere had much more effort than the attempt to live up to the menu. Service was so bad that we didn't even leave a tip. With my wife being a past waitress in her college days, it takes a lot for us not to leave a tip. Bypass the plaza and opt for a different choice.
Not Worth It!!! – We went to the restaurant for lunch on a Saturday. Most of the patrons were seated outside. We chose to be seated inside so it was easy to get a table. The service was not prompt. It took the waiter too long to get our orders. The food was even worse. We ordered a burger and a crab cake. Both were so tasteless and unappetizing. It is also not a good place to bring the kids. The decor was all chic and fancy but the food was sooo depressing. Not worth the money and the time. We left very disappointed!
GARBAGE – Pure Garbage...A true boardwalk clip joint. Nice decor, everything else is below mediocre. Giving EVO credit for mediocrity would be an insult to truly mediocre establishments. Avoid it like the plague.
Decent Italian food – Trump Plaza's restaurants do not have a good reputation so we were prepared for the worst when we made dinner reservations at EVO. The restaurant was very busy this evening and it took awhile for us to be seated. We shared a very blah and uninspiring Caesar salad. Our entrees of grilled salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach was satisfactory though nothing special.
WHAT A JOKE – This is basically a pizza shop disguised as a chic restaurant. This place is one of the absolute worst in Atlantic City. Looks beautiful, but beauty is only skin deep isn't it? It is absolutely the case here. The menu is nice, but nobody knows how to actually make the food that is on it. Absolutely horrible. Frozen food! The service is just as bad.
