It was awesome, had forgotten how big the Spruce Goose was. Great weather, lunch & family.
We did the full package for the museum. Which included the Aviation Museum. The Space Museum and the IMAX Theater. My favorite was the Aviation Museum. We also purchased tickets for the Cockpit and Cabin tour / access which included a photo in the cockpit. Phil was our tour guide for this portion and truly made the time memorable with his knowledge of the airframe and systems construction. We spent a lot of time. The floor tour was done by Ron. What a great display and s great 3D movie. Well worth seeing. We will be back for at least another visit if not more.
Love the museum. I've been a huge fan and supporter for quite a long time and have made sizable donations and contributions to the restoration and education departments, as well as to the McMinnville School District's EASA (Engineering and Aerospace Sciences Academy) program on the museum campus. Exellent museum, best one I've seen, about my forth visit, I will return.
The museum itself is decent, but their management seems to have no idea how to run it. The museum board is actively promoting their landlord the Falls Event Center and its owner Steve Down, who is currently under SEC investigation, received a Wells Notice in June, and was banned for two years from the securities industry in the past for running a pyramid scheme back in '98.
