Dr. Sorensen is Very competent and considerate
Highly recommend AVOIDING this location. Horrendous communication/service. I had chosen this facility as my new drs office around the beginning of the year because they were close to home. I felt very breezed over in my establishing care visit with Dr. Kathleen.. it was rushed and after seeing a different doctor recently, there were many things over looked (deficiencies that were found by the other doc after labs etc). My visit to New West today was incredible! The woman who checked me in was welcoming and answered all my questions, the woman who took my vitals was the same and so was Dr. Holman and the lab tech who drew my blood was perfect. I am so pleased. Thank you!!!
I recently had an insurance lapse and this office refused to allow a prescription renewal a few days after I cancelled an annual visit, since I wanted to wait until my new insurance took over to avoid thousands of dollars in bloodwork. I understand it's just a business, but I also understand this business decided to put my health at risk by refusing a task that would take a subordinate less than a minute to allow a refill for live-saving medicine. Evergreen Family and Internal medicine (New West Physicians) is great except they are governed/owned by Optum. Optum rules for referrals, wellness visits versus annual physicals, payments (billing for $.59, yes 59 cents) are unbelievable. There are so many layers of corporate "stuff" (i.e. Optum, New West, United Health Care, and Medicare) you can never find someone to help you if there's a problem.
