The cancer team is amazing! The radiation therapy team were the best! BTW, most of the bad reviews are about the hospital/emergency room across the street which is NOT the cancer hospital. Ignore those reviews
When it comes to emergencies, I’ve found that this hospital has an excellent emergency room. They rely on logic, thorough testing, and careful evaluation. Every diagnosis I’ve received there — from a blood clot to kidney stones and everything in between — has been accurate. They get you the help you need. However, my overnight stay was a completely different experience. One doctor kept me overnight to run additional heart tests, which I appreciated. These people are the best... I felt absolutely Important to them and the care they gave me was exceptional. I hope my cancer is gone and I never have to see them again, but I can't ever thank them enough.
The nurses are great! The scheduling department and Dr. Ajitha Kommalapati, MD have been a nightmare. The lack of communication has only added to the stress of going through a cancer diagnosis. Medication adjustments get done "verbally", but notations aren't made in the chart, you'll receive chemo without having seen her or anyone else for over a month, prescriptions get called into the wrong pharmacy, and the last straw was her cancelling a video appointment while I was waiting for her.
