I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Eva Kwok. What stands out most is how thorough she is; she didn't just look at the symptoms but really worked to find the root cause of my health issues. She was very patient in listening to me and made sure every single one of my concerns was answered before I left. I should mention that she is very straight and candid. While that direct style might rub some people the wrong way, as a doctor she is awesome. It is rare to find a professional who cares this much about getting it right.
Nothing wrong with the doctor or the admin, we didn't have any issues. There are signs indicating that you may be waiting due to unforseen circumstances so factor in an hour or 2 for your appointment - that's fair for a specialist, I think. The doctor had a good sense of humour, asking questions in a playful way to try to get my elderly mom to really say what her concerns are - kudos to that. If I could give her a 0 star rating, I would. Please avoid her at all costs. Super unhelpful and does not listen to patients. Terrible bedside manner and attitude. Very judgemental regarding other physicians’ decision and even the patient. My father broke his leg a few years ago hence he was not able to exercise. Dr. Kwok questioned my father’s inability to exercise. What an absolute joke.
Dr. Kwok is one of the best doctors I have ever seen in Toronto. I took my dad to see her yesterday. She is patient, professional, responsible, and friendly. She takes the time to learn more about the patient's medical history, observe and listen to the patient's current situation. She is really patient and really cares about the patient. When I read the previous reviews, I was very concerned that I may experience bad receptionist and doctor. I was half an hour earlier to avoid any trouble. However to my surprise, the receptionist is not particularly friendly but just quietly doing her job well ( later on, I was told, she is new) . I was called in on time. To my surprise, Dr. Kwok was very friendly. She checked my medical records from my family doctor and previous respiratory test carefully.
