I have been bringing my daughter here. Dr. Koo and Amanda Yonkers for a few years and not the sweetest child caring people. They are always rushed and dont seem to care about the kid's feelings they just go in do their thing and get out. Really not caring about how the kid feels. These are bad experiences for the kids already and you would wish for the doctors to be nicer but they are not. Look else wehre as they will also take your money.
I witnessed a family friend take her daughter to Dr. Koo to do eye test for a specific condition. Dr. Koo did the tests and gave her expert opinion and saved the child from unnecessary treatment other eye doctor had prescribed. Her excitement and engagement with the child showed her passion for her job. I'd recommend anyone to take their children to Dr. Koo. You child will be in the safest hands.
My daughter has been seeing Dr. Koo for 5 years. My daughter was 13 when we started and had two prior ophthalmologists and 2 prior strabismus surgeries. My daughter could not pass the driving eye sight test. After seeing Dr. Koo, we were able to get glasses so she can drive. Unfortunately we had a horrible experience with Dr. Koo. We felt extremely rushed in an appointment with our 4 month old. She told us the best case scenario is that he “might see light” in his affected eye, would need glasses, protective eye gear his whole life, and was not a candidate for an eye muscle surgery to rectify his strabismus.
