Dr. Krauss replaced my right knee in 2017. Excellent!
In 2011, I had one hip replaced. When it was time (in late 2019) I decided the other needed replacement, my go to surgeon is undeniably Dr. Krauss. I found him comforting, informative, and as a surgeon, unsurpassed! It took a long time to get an appointment, but in my opinion, I wouldn’t go to any other surgeon. He was worth waiting for.
I had double knee surgery at PBMC 1 week apart & it was the best decision I ever made. It was a little hard going through rehab but having a PT & OT center right in the hospital made it so convenient. My incisions were minimal with very little scarring. Dr. Krauss was phenomenal & I highly recommend him!
Dr. Krauss was extrememly informative and described what was going on in such depth that it left me with no questions at all. I will be having surgery soon and I am completely confident in Dr. Krauss 100%. I have seen other orthopedic doctors before Dr Krauss and non gave me the information and knowledge he was able to give me in order to make me feel at ease with the procedure. He was super sweet, did not rush the appointment, and I felt like I was number one while he was in the room.
DOCTOR KRAUSS IS THE BEST. MY WIFE AND I WERE ABLE TO TALK TO HIM AT ANY LENGTH WE WANTED TO BEFORE MY HIP RELACEMENT. SURGERY WAS PERFORMED ON WEDNESDAY, SYOSSET HOSPITAL. I WAS RELEASED TWO DAYS LATER WITH NO PAIN. THANK YOU VERY MUCH DOCTOR KRAUSS
As a strict technician, the doctor is excellent. Risks of infection are low as are complications. However, staff do not answer phones, it is only through leaving messages and call backs. Doctor is totally unaccessible. You can only speak to technicians, PA's, NP's or secretaries. No direct access, ever. He is in the office only one day a week so you had better not have a complication or medical issue that needs to be addressed by the surgeon himself. Chose him only as a technician.
I had a total knee replacement by Dr krauss On 2/19/16. It was very difficult to get a follow up appt with him, always deferred to the PA. Pain was not managed, had to seek pain management. Office staff is rude and extended wait times ( like 2 hrs) for scheduled appts is not acceptable.. Dr does not return calls. I am a Registered Nurse and am very dissappointed with my care.. Would not recommend this Dr. Mary Hamlin R.N.
My knees are great. Had them done in 2009 and 2010. I love to walk fast and I do it often. I also climb stairs many times a day as we live in a split level house. They do hurt sometimes but it's because I overdo my ADLs. I'm 71 and my daughter calls me the Energizer Bunny who can't sit still. Thanks Dr. Krauss and your staff.
My knees hurt worse today than they did before the operation. At least before I would have days off no pain. Now I climb stairs by crawling and go down stairs backward so I can go one step after another instead of one at a time. I'm very angry because of the pain an would not recommend Krause.
