(UPDATE: in my original review I made a statement that the owner, Frank, has always been a “lovely person”. I have since learned that he has a long history of being difficult to deal with and has many times sued his former employees without good cause. RecommendedI found Katie on Instagram and knew she was the one to make my rose gold dreams come true! I love my new look!! She sat with me, we talked it out and she did a great job! I could not be happier! Everyone is welcoming and friendly. The space is clean and has great energy too!

We recently moved to the area, it took me nearly a year to find a salon/stylist I felt like I meshed with. The staff here are all very friendly, and Kate did an excellent job. I have curly hair, she was knowledgeable in cutting my hair to encourage bouncy curls and willing to dry-cut if I come in with my hair styled how I would normally style it.
Essence is a awesome place to get your hair styled, facials, manicures, pedicures and other wellness needs. Everyone greets you with a smile and they always check to be sure you are comfortable and see if you need anything. It has such a warm and friendly atmosphere. Cathy Durham is my stylist and she is fantastic I had my first facial with Becky and it was so relaxing and my skin looked and felt great. I can't wait to have another facial with Becky. I highly recommend Essence to everyone.
The Essence staff and owners are professional and friendly. When you walk into the door "everyone " greets you will a smile, they always check on your comfort. I would recommend Essence to anyone who is looking for a new place for hair, facials and another beauty needs!! I thoroughly enjoy my facials with Becky and my hair stylist Cathy Durham is the best. I look forward to trying everything Essence has to offer!😊
