I thought the food was excellent the service was great
Wonderful food and people!
We did German potato pancakes and French crepes and we were not disappointed. Good food, good folks, good coffee. Nice little brunch spot tucked away in the North end of the Main drag (close to 11).
Essen on Main was phenomenal! I tried a few different menu items. From the schnitzel and jägersauce to something as simple as french fries, I loved the quality taste of each one. I didn't know that French onion soup could taste so good, or that a sauce could taste so richly of mushrooms. Chef Brian really strives to maintain a traditional German style in many of his dishes, and was trained in Germany, which is also really cool. This place is DEFINITELY worth bringing some friends to try, and then coming back for more... 😉
