I wish i could give less then one star. La Fitness Refuses to fix any cardio machines in the gym, 40% of them have repair stickers on them. Out of the remaining 60% of the equipment only 15% of them work correctly, Everyone in the entire gym has been complaining it has been 3 years now and nothing has been done. When you complain they tell you to go to a different gym.
The customer service at ******************** is absolutely horrible. The process for cancellations have been a nightmare. I cancelled with a personal trainer and they stated that a regional director has to approve the cancellation. It's been two weeks and no one has reviewed or confirmed my cancellation. I'm still calling and going up to the location trying to get this resolved. I'm seeing so many bad reviews for their cancellation process so it seems like LA Fitness did not want to leave out the renewal process either. They send me an email on the 4/12 telling me that if I renew my membership I can get a month free voucher for a friend. So i renewed my membership on 4/18 and have spoken to 5 reps, followed via email 3x, currently on hold as I type this review and wait for every convoluted explanation they have not said yet. Dont sign up for personal training!! Its a scam they dont care if you sick or not they will keep charging you and make it hard for you to get out of it even with a doctors note!
Good luck trying to cancel your membership. They will just continue to charge your card and then when you change the card with the bank they will call and tell you that you have a balance. Stay clear!
I am highly upset. I tried to cancel my personal training because I had some life changes and could no longer afford personal training and they are holding me hostage trying to get me to continue paying or buy out my contract which would be 50% ending in almost $900. They said I would have to have a health risk in order to cancel without paying. The employees at the front desk are watching out for expensive cars that are out of the cameras view than they call the maintenance guy to follow you into the locker room and break your lock and still your belongings and than they go to your car break into it is happening repeatedly a lot of clients says its an inside job its the la fitness Im ******* hills ** *************************************************************************************** thats called pre meditated robbery !
As other stated, cancellation is absurd. Not military friendly and will continually charge you unless you mail something in. No regard to if you are in a location unable to print/mail/fax. It's 2022 and there's no setup for email or phone cancellations. Absolutely terrible company making it hard for it's patrons to leave as necessary. They have lost me and anyone near me as customers for life.
My family has been members of this location since they originally opened. In 2019 my father was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and was no longer able to use his membership. I had gone in person and cancelled his membership that year. Earlier this year we find out they have still been charging for his account even after his passing which they were fully aware of.
