Scheduling procedures seems to be an issue. If can’t handle something simple like scheduling, makes me question competency in more complicated decision making. Thoughtlessness of having one restroom in a facility with 15-20 people who have done colonscopy prep which causes uncontrollable stools is insane. Wait times one hour + for after appointment time is just ridiculous again with one restroom for 20 people. Excellent doctor in every way! Great office visit and excellent procedure(s) experience! Very attentive and thorough both in discussing my history and with providing alternatives to help heal my condition. Very inclusive letter as follow-up with results of pathology as well as path of treatment going forward. 5 stars!

Dr. Elwazir is wonderful. He is patient, compassionate, respectful, approachable, positive, thorough, knowledgeable, explains everything clearly, and never rushes through an appointment. He promptly follows up after procedures and diagnostic testing. The office staff and nurses are wonderful and show the same type respect and attention. For years I have confidently placed myself in his care.
I was hospitalized with small bowel obstruction and after my discharge, needed to follow up appointment ASAP with a gastroenterologist. It was a horrible experience to schedule an appointment promptly. Dr Elwazir gave us the appointment as soon as he could. I was very worried about the diagnosis, diet, further workup and prognosis. Most of us don’t know a gastroenterologist until we need one. I was fortunate enough to be referred to Dr. Elwazir by my PCP for a routine colonoscopy. I found this this unplanned encounter to be most fortunate. Dr. Elwazir made a rather dreaded experience as relaxed as humanly possibl.
