About this business
Specialties Escazu Artisan Chocolates is one of only a handful of chocolate companies in the country that make chocolate entirely from the bean. We purchase fine cacao directly from farms in Latin America, and then roast and grind it into the highest quality chocolate which we hand mold into bars. We make and sell small chocolate confections, truffles, hot chocolate and chocolate bars, amongst other things. We also have a seating area so that our customers can enjoy our chocolates, ice cream, hot chocolate and coffee.

When you walk through the door you are embraced by the fragrance of pure chocolate seduction. The cafe is sunny and the Barista friendly. Through a glass panel you can watch the chocolate mill grind and swirl making it hard to choose between watching or tasting. Do both.
Fantastic! Moved to another town sent me the chocolates for my wife's birthday. They came on time, even with all the holiday postal traffic and packaged very well. Well done!

I was in the store yesterday and picked up a few truffles to have later. The blackberry had actual blackberries in it, not just jam, both it and the blueberry were fabulous. But then I had the Elderberry-and actually thought I was in heaven. I'm a chocoholic and have sampled chocolate around the world. This was one of the most interesting, high quality, and just plain delicious truffles I've ever had. I'll be stopping in every time I'm in Raleigh! Really great customer service as well.
Had their ice cream sandwich yesterday and it was soooo good! Plus got 4 pieces of unique chocolate goodies. I really like this place WAY MORE than the other chocolatier across from the Pit.
