I wish I had known more about Escape Homes before building. While the build process was acceptable, the post-handover support has been very disappointing. At handover, there were unfinished items that we were promised would be completed promptly. Instead, they were delayed by around six weeks, and I had to constantly chase for updates. Beware of this company. Mark my words when I say this, Build quality is extremely poor. I have had all kind of issues with the house. From leaking windows, to cracked shower tiles and now cracks in the exterior walls, leaky showers, poor customer service, extremely rude and disrespectful staff. One star too many. Still angry about our "5 month" build that took close to 3 years. When we told them they were over contract they slapped delay notices which our lawyer said we're not enforceable. Nonetheless they refused to honour it and refund us as we "got a house cheaper than the market". Communication and updates were sparse, vague, and at times worded horribly. Avoid avoid avoid. Editing so people can still see this. Still so angry about our build.
One of worst builder in Melbourne and worst customer service worst house quality and house cracking and now taking them to building and plumbing authority soon and VBA and please avoid this dodgy builder and if still think they always promise you good quality work but it’s actually zero so avoid is better
