Finest Pie this side of the Mississippi! – Absolutely my FAVORITE pizza in Portland! Nothing compares. I've been known to drive 30 minutes out of my way just to get a slice. I suggest you give it a try.
One in every port – Known as EFNY by the cool kids, this pizzeria actually does what it claims: gives you good New York pizza. The za might not be much to look at, but theres a reason the line is out the door on most days and a slice is worth the 5 minute wait. absolutely fabulous – Escape from NY has wonderful pizza, the best in Portland. With their location up there on NW 23rd, I don't see how anyone could find a more charming and casual place to kick back and enjoy!!
I Eat it everyday – Somehow I can eat thier pizza nearly every day and not get tierd of it. That says somthing about that pizza.
Escape From Good Taste – I was born and raised in da Bronx, thats NYC for your Portlanders. Escape from NY would be luaghed out of the 5 corners of NYC faster than Kornblats, another piece junk eatery claimng to be New Yorkesque. A pizza without good sauce is worthless and this pizza is just that. It tates like it came out of a jar marked Ragu. What happened to the flavor??? Great pie, NY style – As if it were actually located in NY--where urban space is really at a premium--this joint is wedged into a NW space barely wide enough for two-lane foot traffic. The slices are cheap and delicious--among the best in town. Highly recommended!
A fan for years – I've been a fan of NY Pizza since high school. Cheap, greasy goodness on a paper plate. Best bang for the buck.
