Amazing experience and very challenging. I enjoyed my caddie Daniel who was fun and knowledgeable. The golf shop staff were very professional. Well worth the drive outside of town.
We played Erin Hills, home of the 2017 US Open Championship, opened in 2006 and built on ancient ground formed by glasiers thousands of years ago, called kettle moraign. From a sustainability perspective the natural topography has been largely left undisturbed creating a unique golf course which is niether 'links' nor 'parkland' but rather 'heartland'.

Not enough water stations at the US open, they weren't easily accessible , especially for the older population that was there. Saw a man get rolled out in a body bag. Broke my heart . Not enough air conditioned places for the older population or just people in general either unless you were vip or forced to go to the merchandise store to buy something. It was a 90+ degree week. My experience was 3/4 because of their lack of cool places and water stations , if my grandparents were wanting to go, I would tell them to skip out!... read more
