The appointment I had with Dr. Barth left me with the feeling she was arrogant and not very compassionate. Maybe it was just me??
Dr. Barth was great, not going to dismiss her. The issue have is that no one bothered to tell me that Dr. Barth charges double what the other doctors charge for a colonoscopy. My insurance has a $3k deductible so they are trying tell me that I owe over $2K out of pocket!! It should be half that amount. I have filed a dipute with the insurance company and Dr. Barth's office is allegedly looking at the claims to see if a mistake was made somewhere. I will update review once that happens.
I saw Dr. Barth a few months ago, though the facility seems outdated and the nurse who attempted to get my medical information seemed overwhelmed and impatient with me trying to give her my medical paperwork that showed me extensive GI history..and being from North Carolina I had all my medical records including detailed Upper and lower colonoscopy and endoscopy pictures and results..my main concern was that only a record from Florida which wasn't from my past home GI was acknowledged... Under Dr. Barth's care my mild diverticulitis developed into a large abscess, two hospitalizations and major surgery. When I realized I wasn't getting better three days after being seen, I sent a notice on the portal explaining my symptoms and concerns. I never received a callback that day by her Medical Assistant even though I called the office twice that day.
