Your pets deserve the best! This is one of the best veteranary experiences you could ever have. Caring staff, clean atmosphere, knowledgable doctors. Compassion is number one in their book and they take the time to explain everything in detail. Before anything is done to your animal they present you with an estimate so you know exactly what you are getting and for what price range, unlike many other local vets who tell you one price and surprise you with a final bill of another. Clean caring atmosphere for your pet. Even con... read more

Service Gone Bad! I had been a client of Erie Animal hospital for about 6 years. I used to be quite content with the level of service I received from the staff and doctors, however, in the last 2 years the service has diminished terribly. The doctors are always overbooked and rushed. They have a horrible turn around of staff and that makes it frustrating. The girls that ran the front several years ago, knew me and my furry girls by name and always made me feel welcome. Now I barely get a glance up when I walk through the doo... read more

Compassionate In response to the entry above regarding unethical treatment of animals......from an ex-employee.....Cremation services through Burtons is an option. Clients have the options of cremation w/ return, cremation w/ no return or disposal. Depending on the clients personal preference, any of these options are available. The disposal service is landfill and pets are only taken there at the OWNERS request. The doctors at Erie Animal Hospital work hard and will go above and beyond what is typically expected in their pr... read more

This place is a disgrace to the veterinary profession! A doctor at this hospital may have caused my dog permanent damage with an extreme overdosage of Prednisone (we won't know until she's been weaned off it completely). She also did not recognize basic canine internal anatomy while looking at xrays of my dog. This blood panel I paid $130 for was not only botched, but read improperly. The vet read her calcium levels as being much higher than they actually were, she did not take the albumin levels into consideration. The tech... read more

Killed My Dog My dog was sick throwing up brown stuff and had diaherra and would not eat. They ran so many test and couldn't find nothing wrong with him. They suck do not take you dog there. He was only eight years old. Brought him to Pittsburgh and had an autospy performed and they said he had a bowel blockage. How in the hell couldn't they find that. If you want your animal to live take them elsewhere. My hurt is broken. Pure excuse for a veterians office.
