Dr McClain On several occasions my wife and I took several different animals to this office for emergency care and he accused us of poor treatment. A friend of ours had the same experience. We will not let this nasty little man treat our pets. The other vets at this practice are good but Dr McClain is the reason why our pets go to a different (and more expensive) vet clinic.

there is a reason they have been around for 50 years The staff are professional and really know what they are doing. The doctors are the best around. i swear the parking lot is always full. and they have been in business since for 50 years, so they have to be doing something right. when my dog was put to sleep, everyone was very nice, we even got a card from them. calls are returned in a timely fashion, and the doctors take as much time as needed to answer any of your questions. at times the wait for your appointment is a bi... read more

This place is a disgrace to the veterinary profession! A doctor at this hospital may have caused my dog permanent damage with an extreme overdosage of Prednisone (we won't know until she's been weaned off it completely). She also did not recognize basic canine internal anatomy while looking at xrays of my dog. This blood panel I paid $130 for was not only botched, but read improperly. The vet read her calcium levels as being much higher than they actually were, she did not take the albumin levels into consideration. The tech... read more

Unethical treatment of animals Approximately 6 months ago I had my elderly dog put down at the above facility. I had purchased my dog at the above facility thirteen years ago. The secretary went over all the options for me and what exactly would take place. I had chosen cremation. She indicated that Burton funeral home would be handling the cremation. I felt satisfied until an ex-employee indicated that most of these animals are thrown in the dumpster. They know this because they did it regularly.

Will never go again I brought in my puppy to be checked because he wasnt acting himself. He was having difficulty breathing. They checked him over and seemed to be alright. They insisted i get him x-rayed to make sure he didnt have anything stuck in his throat. which i didnt want to bc it is so expensive. I dont remeber the Dr's name but he was an older guy. He asked me what my puppy ate and i told him dog food and he didnt eat no people food. The Dr then tried to make me out to be a lier by telling me I feed my puppy table ... read more

Best Treatment Given To My Dogs I've had a great experience working with EAH. I'm very happy with the treatment my dogs receive there. The doctors and assistants are very thorough and caring. We had 2 dogs which were treated there years ago. They both lived to be 15 years old and when they got too old to be able to eat we had them put down at the hospital. The staff was very nice and considerate. We now have 2 more dogs that go there for care. These dogs come under the category 'high maintenance' so it gets expensive but if ... read more

Great place for your pet. This is the best place I have found to take my pets to keep them healthy. They have wonderful people on staff who actually care about the animal. I've had to take our dog here for surgery to remove kidney stones and they were great with him. His care was top notch. I was very pleased with the results. This is also the place I took him when I had to have him put down as I knew that he would be properly taken care of. I still have the sympathy card I recieved from them the following day along with the... read more

Erie Animal Hospital - Best Place In Town I have been going to the Doctors from the Erie Animal Hospital for 3 years. The doctors and staff care about the animals and give the best treatment in town. I continually have strays and kittens and many of them are at deaths door, some have not made it, but others have and would not have if this clinic was not here. Some times there is no reason or answer for why our animals get sick, they are no different then human beings. Sometimes the doctor has to try experimental options to g... read more
