It is very rare that I ever give a bad review, but I feel compelled to reveal one of the worst doctor- patient experiences of my lifetime. Having personally been a business owner and in medical management for many years, I was astounded at how my daughter and I were treated by this doctor. She was condescending, arrogant, abrupt, with no bedside manner, zero warmth or empathy and just plain rude! In her behalf, she seemed knowledgeable and very matter-of-fact and her staff was nice. She needs to follow suit.
My PCP referred me to Dr. Austin for my chronic migraines. Dr. Austin dove in with an initial assessment and determined an aggressive track to mitigate my migraine pattern. On my second visit, I was in the middle of a migraine and she again aggressively countered it with some test meds she had on hand. After my third visit, she had a comprehensive plan in place for medications and I have been blissfully migraine-free for over a year. She's nothing short of a miracle worker! Dr. Austin is awesome. After being diagnosed with epilepsy I searched around on-line and read a lot of reviews of Neurologists in the TC area and I'm really glad I choose to see her. She made me feel comfortable right from the start and she's very professional. I highly, highly recommend her!
Dr Austin has been able to figure out a treatment for headaches that have crippled me for more than 45 years! She does not hold your hand, she encourages, she pushes you to make healthy changes, she wants you to do your part to get well! She is actively pursuing health and wellness if you aren’t then I wouldn’t bother wasting her time because she is there to work for you but you have to do your part too!
I have never been so angry with a medical specialist and I am not one to write bad reviews, but my fiancé has been suffering from a migraine for a month. He can not function and it is affecting his day-to-day life. He has gone into Dr. Austin and instead of giving him an MRI TWO doctors said he absolutely needed, she gave him a steroid that did nothing but make his face swell up. He has now been denied an MRI until she can see him again (which who knows when that will be). This has been absolutely awful to see him go day aft... read more
