Wish I had read reviews before making apptnt. I agree staff rude with no recognition or compassion for elderly patient on oxygen and wearing hearing aids that got confused and scared and felt was lost after seeing wall directory. Also felt he was going to have to walk to another bldg to see dr. Receptionist apparently thought he was yelling at her abt the confusion of wall directory and complained to dr. I underwent my first preventative screening colonoscopy with Eric Cottrill. Following the procedure, I experienced abdominal pain and chills. The following morning, I called in sick to work because the problems persisted. After trying to call Eric’s office that afternoon, I got the answering machine, so I contacted my PCP, whose office was being staffed by a trauma nurse, who told me to get to an Emergency Room. I have been seeing Dr. Cottrill for several years now. I have not had any issues with Dr. Cottrill himself, but, his help, oh yeah. The dark curly headed broad that "greets" you when you go in and answers the phone is something else. I do not like dealing with her AT ALL. C'mon, Dr. Cottrill, get rid of her. Check out all of the reviews about your staff!!! She interacts with your patients so she IS your staff to your patients. My mom has been seeing this doctor for life threatening weight loss, though she is currently very frail, he has no problem shutting her down when she dares ask one single question. The final blow was when he suggested, “We can do nothing if you’re going to question me.” WOW! Zero bedside manner or empathy.
