I couldn’t ask for a kinder more caring Dr then Dr. Cornidez. He is gentle and informs you of what to expect. He is very thorough and explains what he is going to do. His staff is lovely also. I highly recommend Dr. Cornidez for pain management!!
I came to Dr. Cubillo in great pain but not knowing anything about him. He listens, is kind, considerate,so soothing and solely interested in making me feel better. I travel from Green Valley to Tucson solely for Dr. Cubillo and while I'd love the Pain Institute of Southern Arizona to have a procedural office in Green Valley I'll continue to visit him in Tucson.
His skills in identifying and explaining my sources of pains were exceptional and productive. His injections have always been painless and effective for periformis, intercostal, SCM, and occipital nerve block. Pains in my legs, back, neck, and head are always relieved.
Both Dr. Cubillo and his assistant were very aggressive with me regarding medications. They both cut me off and were abrupt. They blocked any communication from me. I ended up without any pain killer what-so-ever only a muscle relaxant. I have failed back syndrone, three prior back surgeries and a history of chronic pain going back twenty years. After four months of doctors' appointments to help ease pain on the lower left side of my back Dr. Cubillo was a miracle worker. His front office staff and attending practitioners were warm and professional. Dr. Cubillo asked many questions to zero in on the cause and treatment of my pain. He and an aide administered two injections and within five days I was 95 percent pain free. The remaining pain disappeared three days later. I was very pleased and highly recommended Dr. Cubillo and the Pain Institute of Southern Arizona.

When I consulted Dr. Efrain Cubillo, he gave me hope for my severe back pain, but it was all talk. I underwent expensive MRI of both lower and thoracic area of spine, psychological examination and cardiologist evaluation. Steroid injection failed; ablation of offending nerves failed; HF10 trial failed. I got nothing but a huge bill. I gave him a one star because there is nothing lower. Stay away from this doctor.
