First of all, Dr. Cornidez is one of the most caring and skillful doctors I've ever had. However, after years of getting injections for back pain and for bursa pain, the practice is now requiring a consult before any further pain procedures. Since I live 90 miles away, and because the wait time for both a consult and the injection is so long, I now need my PCP to refer me to a new pain management doctor. My PCP was really surprised by this change in the practice after being initially evaluated and then having treatments with... read more
My grandaughter visited this so called expert in CRPS care after returning to live in Tucson. She has a 10 year documented history of CRPS Type I. To the best of her knowledge, he did not consult the documentation she provided to prepare for the consult. All he offered was "rehabilitation". He treated her as drug seeking. Do not trust him with your care, he may harm you.
So much empathy, humor, and professionalism. Wish all my docs were like him. I actually look forward to my injection visits! because all the staff are great, and they do everything to make me comfortable. The best doc I have ever had at 74 years. I have been seeing him about 3 years and doing very well.
Unfortunately I have chronic low back pain. I've seen other pain providers in other cities and never had the negative experience I had with this doctor. He seemed annoyed if I asked a question. I felt uncomfortable and judged. When you are in pain and going to see a new doctor there is such hope that the person can help reduce or eliminate your pain. To find out not only can the person not help me but to have the actual appointment be a huge waste of time and a humiliating experience at that is really devastating. I wonder w... read more
Until recently- great. Then I was finally scheduled for a spinal cord stimulator-after a 10 hr. back surgery & 2 neck surgeries/plates were installed in both. The pain staff said I needed an MRI, EKG, blood work & approval from my primary dr. within 2 weeks. I did all that. Surgery location changed 4 times; surgery schedule 5 times; then I was told my ins. would not cover it. My ins. said they would. Surgery was cancelled. Calls went to voice mail. No one called back. Then the day before the surgery I got a call to be there ... read more
Aside from initial appt, my family member was rushed in appts with Dr. Cornidez and if I asked questions about her care, Dr. Cornidez came across offended. During recent appt, Dr. Cornidez shared frustration of my "need" to ask so many questions related to my family member's care. He also expressed frustration that I asked for clarity more than once regarding recent discovery from an MRI. I was concerned to hear this. A caring and professional doctor should welcome questions, even questions previously asked. Perhaps this is ... read more
I have suffered from Common Migraine Syndrome for 53 years, and have had treatment from a variety of medical professionals for 45 of those years. Because of the current "opioid epidemic" in the U.S, my personal story of chronic pain, which involves relying on only two medications, i.e., Migergot (vasoconstrictor) and the lowest dose of hydrocodone, intermittently throughout a given month... has been understood and accepted by a scant number of medical professionals; the most magnanimous of whom has been Dr. Eric Cornidez. It... read more
Horrible visit . Refused to help with my pain. Rushed the visit . Do not go here.
Everyone in this office is so wonderful to work with. Dr. Cornidez is awesome to work with and worked miracles on me! So professional, friendly and knowledgeable in what’s going on with my pain and getting me relief I have been looking for for years!
