I ask for a second opinion , Sent him my records laid on his desk for a month, every time I call was told he didn’t have time to look at them finally had to call and ask them to send my records back so I could find another doctor. So I don’t know if he’s a good doctor, but I know he’s unreliable as far as Doctor goes

Compassionate, thorough. Not just a good GI doctor but the BEST doctor we've had over all. And his staff is great too, attentive and friendly. They know their stuff!

My husband and I were referred to Dr Fontenot by a relative that is also a physician. He spoke of his expertise as a proficient skillful gastroenterologist. So instead of choosing the Houston Medical center we drove to Louisiana for a colonoscopy, thinking we must be out of our minds. It turns out Dr Fontenot is also very personable and caring as we’re the hospital and Dr Fontenot’s office. It’s also been quick to get answers and appointments for gastro issues to successful hemorrhoid banding. They’ve been a blessing

I recently relocated to the area and simply tried to speak with someone at Dr. Fontenot's office to schedule an appointment. Each one of my calls went unanswered, my voicemails were never returned, and nobody even acknowledged my out of state gastroenterologists referral. After at least 10 attempts from July to September I asked myself what level of care I would even receive if I couldn't even speak with someone at his office.
