Carla and the Equitax team did a great job for us in a year of many challenges with Covid 19.I would recommend them highly.
What a pain free and stress free option vs. trying to be a "do-it-yourselfer" with this process. The company has great connections and access to the appraisers, and can present the appeal logically and effectively. In previous years, I have had to do the appeals twice by myself, and felt I was not taken very seriously. My only participation involved helping with some nearby comparable value homes, and a host of pictures of my home and property that better exhibited why may home was over-valued.
I have used Equitax several times now, and have been consistently pleased with the results. They are professional, reliable, and they I have saved me a bunch of money.

Here is my 2019 story - I will never use or recommend 'Equitax' again - Other than emails requesting documentation, there is absolutely no communication with the client -'Equitax' was not ready for either the hearing or the appeal, and had to postpone both. -'Equitax' gave me no feedback regarding the results of the initial hearing or the appeal -There is no indication of the measures 'E' took to validate my case -There is no personal touch with this company. These folks purchased their home in 2018. Their 2019 value was $100,000 less than they paid for the property less than 6 months prior. We attended the appeal and argued hard for reductions but the decision was made that the value was fair and equitable and actually low. The County - Cherokee County in this case - was obligated by Georgia law to set the 2019 value at the 2018 purchase price - assuming an arms length transaction. This was an arm's length transaction.
