Dr. Polanco alerted us to a serious issue that he felt was imperative to address, why we had to wait two weeks for an appointment to receive this information, I do not understand. That was a red flag for us. The office staff at his Gateway location was the rudest staff I have ever encountered. I would not advise this office.
My experience with Dr. Polanco was very disappointing. We waiting a few weeks for an appointment to get our test results that he ordered, in which, the doctor told us it was imperative we get a major operation. Seems we should have been called much earlier, the results were available in a few days. His office staff was the most uncaring, rudest people I have ever encountered. Stay clear!
I had a tee test 5/30 I was nervous Dr Polanco is a kind caring very knowledgeable doctor Polanco explain to me the procedure . He calmed mynervousness . Dr Polanco is truly a professional, 100%. I trust him with my life. Great guy great doctor.
Misdiagnosed, was put on a beta blocker that almost killed me. I told Dr that medication was making me feel worse but was told to stay on it because it was necessary. I was in the hospital unconscious for four days. Had to go to Mayo in Jacksonville for diagnosis only to be told that I had severe anemia, and not a heart condition.
If you want a Doctor that cares about you ; analyzes everything to be certain it is right for you and follows up to be sure you are getting the results he expected he is your guy. Also, follow his instructions he was the first Doctor to insist that I go to a sleep clinic and they found I had a bad case of sleep apnea which is hard on your heart. Other Doctors just suggested a sleep study ; he is the one that had follow through. When I first met him I wasn't excited about him; you need to give him time he is excellent.

I’ve been seeing Dr Polanco for years and I would highly recommend him to everyone. He has saved my life more than once and he always treats me like family. If there has been a time when he was running a little behind, I have never minded, because I know when it’s my turn he never rushes me and he answers all my questions and explains everything in detail. It’s hard to find a doctor these days that actually cares about their patients the way Dr Polanco does.
Dr. Polanco is extremely knowledgeable, listens carefully to patient concerns, and provides understandable explanations as well as treatment options. I know he is busy, but I have never felt rushed during an appointment. As a long-time cardiac patient who has received medical care in several states, I rank Dr. Polanco up with the best of them. His staff is equally caring and professional.
It is great to go to a doctor that spends time with his patients. I feel that he takes a personal interest in my health.
