He makes lots of unnecessary tests.
Seems nice at first but as soon as you offer another possible reason for symptoms he tells you that you’re not making any sense and that he is right because he has “23 years of experience.” He does not listen and will order things for you just to shut you up.
Office staff is rude and makes scheduling hard almost look like they do a favor booking the appointment.
Last year my son signed at the doctor’s office a full authorization to answer for him for everything related to his health. However the office’s manager prohibited all staff to talk with me, the mother’s patient. The manager was disrespectful, rude, always making allegations that I was upset and never gave me a chance to talk and explain my issues with her and staff regarding my son’s health. Dr. Hernandez is an impressive pediatric gastro. He has been taking care of my son for 3 years. Dr. Rosario has also been involved and is great. The entire team is truly amazing! They run the center like a family and truly care about their patients. Wilmarie, Dr. Hernandez's medical assistant is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The admin and front office team (Lisa, Alexa, Joasmine, Maria) go above and beyond to help patients and parents. I highly recommend Dr. Hernandez and his team at Gastro Health.

Excellent service all around!! The front desk from the moment you arrive to the time you leave is always pleasant and courteous. Dr.Hernandez and his assistants are wonderful and always provide direct information and allow time for questions without making you feel rushed.
Dr Hernandez is an amazing doctor. He is caring, patient, and very bright. He gives 100%. He spends a lot of time at each office visit. He listens and is very observant.. He is a very dedicated physician and I am so happy that he is my sons doctor.
Those who left one star ratings have certainly never seen MY Dr. Hernandez! My son has a serious lifetime disease, requiring long term care and Dr. Hernandez has NEVER let us down. He spends at least 20 minutes at each check up with us and ALWAYS calls me back the same day if there is an issue with my son's condition. He is very kind and compassionate, and extremely thorough. His office is modern and clean and his staff is professional. We've never had a problem getting an appointment either.
