I had service from Gardendale Enhabit for over 2 years. I was receiving IV infusions once a month at first and later, my cancer surgeon changed the order to twice a month. I have had other home health services in the past and Enhabit was definitely a cut above the rest. There were very few glitches, but the nurses and office staff were quick and professional to act and/or intervene on my behalf. Enhabit has taken great care of me for the past 4 years. I see a RN (Julie H.) weekly. I've been taken care of by PT, OT, wound care, xray tech and each of them were very professional. They have taken great care of me. I have never had a problem with Enhabit.If a provider is running behind schedule they call to let me know. In this profession things can't always be on time. Boy I should have read the reviews before going with this agency. Everything that others said is true. The agency is extremely disorganized, their follow up is terrible. I even made a trip to their office to ensure services and they never followed up with anything. l can speak about only a couple of services Speech, actually did therapy, positive, and good sense of humor. I am a home health physical therapist and this Home Health Agency is the WORST! They are very disorganized, full of excuses with no action, poor communication and extremely unprofessional. My mother-in-law was referred to this agency for Home PT and OT because she was having severe back pain which was limiting her mobility and ADL functioning. I used them last year for wound care and OT when I had my left shoulder replaced. They were wonderful then. Just had my right shoulder replaced on 10/9/23 and contracted them again. They are now absolutely horrible. Always have to argue with them about coming out to change my dressing. I'm a widower who lives alone with no designated caregiver and they want me to have someone else over so the nurse can show that person how to clean and dress my wound!
