food is great. beautiful place and friendly family place.
We were looking forward to eating at The English Inn again. It was a great experience, very friendly staff, as well as the friendly ladies at the table next to us. We were happy that Beef Wellington was on the menu tonight.

Better servers, or at least better training for servers. Improve food quality. The menu prices are very high, yet the food quality was only above average. If the English Inn expects to charge top tier prices in the area that they're in, then the food had better stack up as well. You can only get by on the novelty decore for so long. The first time there last year was a great experience, came back this year and The food was ok second time around because they brought very cold food, but the waitress was horrible. No please or thank you, made negative comments about their kitchen, I ordered wine with my steak which never came. Offered free drink to make up for the cold food and even that was wrong. Then she dared to tell us that we were upset and “all she does it’s bring food”. We only politely asked for warm steak which was not cheep.
Lovely old-fashioned supper club. Prime rib and their cherry spinach salad with hot bacon dressing is not to be missed.
Gerald, our waiter, was amazing ,as was the food
