A regular primary care doctor visit with a $30 copayment got labeled as a specialist visit with a $70 copayment to our insurance BCBS Horizon. We were then asked to pay an additional $40. After calling the doctors' office accounting department, which blamed it on Horizon BCBS, we got BCBS to correct it to a regular doctor's visit. Two years later, this doctor's office is still trying to collect the $40 through a collection agency!!!! This is incompetence, at best, greed at worst.
