My sisters dog was ill so she brought him in and was seen by Dr Lisa. He was not able to walk straight, was listing to the left. Dr Lisa told my sister that he was walking straight but it was very evident that he was not. She did blood work and said he had a tick born illness so prescribed meds and said if he wasn’t better to bring him to the specialist in Middletown. Don’t ever go to this animal hospital. The woman who works there is terrible and would not let my mom go in with my dog to have him put down. We had him for almost 13 years and he had to die with a stranger. They told her he was healthy and a couple of days later a more competent Dr, who was a neurologist, told her he has a brain tumor. I understand no people for regular appointments but they wouldn’t put him down outside even!
These vets do not know what they are doing. They told me my dog was healthy and 2 weeks later we had to rush him to the ER in Windsor because of the incompetency here. They overlooked my dogs enlarged heart and neglected to even communicate that he had a enlarged heart. I would never recommend you to anyone.
Horrible experience. Lost my dog because of their incompetency. Left a message that my dog was in great health for his age two weeks later, rushed to Windsor animal hospital and from the xrays sent over from Enfield animal hospital, the dr said it was clear he had an enlarged heart and fluid building up. This was never mentioned to us or in the voicemail left. They really messed up and I lost my dog because of it. RecommendedWe’ve been taking our dogs here since the early eighties. Started with Dr. Bob & Dr. Toby. Very down to earth couple who taught me alot about dog owership. They are not pushy about crazy treatments and high priced meds but they absolutely will do whatever it takes to keep your pets healthy and happy, including recommending other vets if necessary. Never judgemental about what you choose for your pet. Price is more than reasonable . We’ve had to take some of our dogs to other vets for emergencies or special services but never... read more
