I was going to do solar on my home. I own my home outright. I was told the loan is a personal secured loan collateral is panels and equipment. I have outstanding credit- all three FICO scores above 830. I asked is this loan in anyway considered a mortgage- I was told no. So I began the process and was approved the loan of 28K. The first concern that this customer mentioned was that he did not understand the reason our lenders required a certification of trust. The answer to this is very simple – our lenders file a Uniform Commercial Code fixture filing (UCC1) on the equipment being financed.
