Dr. Gomez took the time to review my previous encounters with other providers and asked insightful questions and had some great insights.
Dr Gomez is one of the kindest, most caring psychiatrists I have ever met. I have been a nurse working with many different Drs. I have used her for my Dr for several years now. She recently helped a friend of mine whose autistic adult son was in crisis when she didnt have too. She worked him in with other patients to take care of and was great with both of them. Thank God for Drs like her. She takes the time to really listen and try to help you. I highly recommend her.
I highly recommend Dr Gomez for anyone suffering from PTSD or GAD.
Dr. Gomez and Dr. Matt have been instrumental in my recovery process. I am diagnosed with Bipolar Type 1, Severe Depression, Major Anxiety Disorder, PTSD, and am an alcoholic. The staff at the office and the wonderful, patient, encouraging Doctors and staff have been helping me for the past 3+ years. They work together and have listened to my own concerns about medication and therapy and have provided a regimen that is safe, free from addictive medications, and have kept me safe. So thankful.
Have been to MANY dr.'s & tried umpteen meds over 17 years, I found Dr. Gomez to be an EXCELLENT psychiatrist! She studied my long list of meds tried, gave a written test to isolate my most urgent needs. She prescribed a new drug which I had no faith in, refined diagnosis to include severe panic,gave meds for that, and encouraged patience. All I can tell you is that Dr.Gomez' plan changed my life COMPLETELY. I came to her an EXTREME SKEPTIC, and l am now a human again. Didn't think it possible!!
Dr. Gomez has been seeing my 2 grandsons for over 2 years. Without explanation they sent a letter to cancel treatment of the younger one, which has brain disease! We have encountered many issues with the front desk staff regarding appointment scheduling. We know the bills are paid timely. It is not easy to get new psychiatrist locally. The pediatrician helped us. Our youngest grandson is doing great after two visits after his new doctor changed his meds! I would never recommend this doctor!
It has been very frustrating trying to get an authorization for my medication through my health insurance. I've been trying for 3 months and my health insurance company states that Dr Gomez still hasn't sent in the necessary pre-authorization form. This is after I've called their office about this multiple times, had an appointment there, and my pharmacy has faxed the request for pre-authotization to Dr Gomez twice. Also, front desk staff is not friendly or helpful and wait times are very long.
