We were traveling cross country and very much looked forward to the comforts of a hotel after a long day. When we arrived, the staff was very friendly, but the room had a somewhat smoky smell. When I went to take a shower, the water only got lukewarm. When we went down to the front desk to ask about this issue, she stated she needed to reset the boiler and to give it 30 min before it warmed up again. She shared this was a building wide issued. The best on Topeka for the dollar.
I was super excited to stay here based off of the other reviews compared to the other hotels in the area, but after arriving I was quickly disappointed. I will include that the front desk person was very nice when we checked in, but when we got to our room it was not what we expected. The pictures online made it look a lot nicer than it was, and there was also hair on almost every single one of the pillows on both of the queen beds.
