If I could I would give zero stars I would. This is the worst hospital in the North shore. Do you like waiting 8-10 hours before a doctor will see you in an emergency? Do you like calling the emergency room to check the status of loved ones and getting hung up on or transferred to no one only to have to call again? Do you like no hospital management on-site or a way to contact them from the website? Then this is your hospital! My mother who has cancer had cellulitis that turned into staph a few months ago and we thought the infection was coming back, dr told us to go to the ER if it got worse. We have been waiting for 8 hours. This is absolutely ridiculous and I highly advise against coming here. The waiting room was not full until 8pm. And we are still waiting.
We arrived at this hospital around 9:00 to 10:00 p.m., and they checked us around 40 to an hour after we got here. Mind you, we're here for our 1 year old who has an ear infection. We have watched them attend to several of the patients here, and we have not been seen a second time and it is already 2:45 AM. We've only met one friendly staff member when it came to us, and the rest have ignored us like we aren't even there. I'll be giving another update as things progress. The initial emergency department staff I encountered were quick, efficient, and helpful. I was transferred to a different section of the emergency department while waiting for an available room and it was a nightmare. 2 sides of the same coin. Left 4 stars because of the kind folks from the first part of my night.
