Disappointed this is the only Quest blood draw location in a 75 mi radius I would gladly drive an hour away to avoid their rudeness

My dad is critically ill with cancer. He recently moved from one state to another to be by his children. We needed labs to monitor his hemoglobin and potassium which was very low before he left Oklahoma. We also needed a CEA to see if his cancer cell markers were increasing or decreasing. The receptionist was friendly when I made the appointment. I did explain that my dad has cancer and has incredibly low hemoglobin levels. If possible we would like minimum volumes drawn. The receptionist assured me that the phlebotomist would take care of this at the appointment. When we arrived, the receptionist barely acknowledged us when we arrived (it was her lunch break) but we had a 40 minute wait so I would have expected her to acknowledge us when her break was over. Wow. I was shocked. No signage anywhere indicating this is a Quest location. Boxes and crap all over the place. Worn out furniture and messy. If you do a urine sample you have to walk out of the office to a public bathroom in the hallway and then take your fresh cup of pee (no lid, just a plastic cup) back into the hallway (touching door handles) and back into the office. I was expecting this to be a professional medical type of office, not a fly by night, pop up clinic. The lady working was nice and I didn't have problems w... read more
