Stopped coming because prior owner was psycho and treated her staff terribly and I caught her dumpster diving once when I picked up a piece of furniture. Came last weekend and it was fantastic! Really clean and so many great things very affordable. I recommend this store. I’m coming back this week for some furniture.

I used to love going to Empty the Nest, it was one of my favorite Saturday morning events. The vibe was one of sustainability and community service. Giving items a second home while helping the community was rewarding. Things have changed under the new owner. The "treasures" are over priced. Items used to be priced to sell, now they're priced to make a profit. Today was my last visit, when I can buy new items for less than the thrift store price I concede.

A bit of this and a little of that, bring it together and you have a wonderful secondhand shop.

Used to be my favorite thrift store in the metro, but with the new ownership prices have significantly increased and I think I'm done. An old rusted hammer is now $6, up from $1. A decorative coffee mug is $5 instead of $.50. The floor is jammed with stuff when previously prices were such that things moved quickly. It was a true delight before. At least their mission remains solid.
