what a great locale for preshow nosh and cocktails before going to a show at Crest Sacramento! Servers were incredibly knowledgeable on the spirits and food items. They didn't look down on you for simple questions or requests. They say it can get loud down there but we didn't experience that at all. It was quite pleasant and will definitely go back

Honestly the service by everyone at The Empress Tavern, the food is amazing and the drinks. I honestly believe the bartenders there are the best in Sacramento! I always love every visit there !

Loved the food. Unfortunately my first experience here was marred by a waiter who took my money and shortchanged me. I asked him where my change was and he told me that I could take it off his tip. He wasn’t even our waiter.
My fiancé and I love Empress Tavern! The atmosphere is very cozy and romantic. The wait staff and bartenders are fabulous and very knowledgeable about the liquor they carry...and the drinks are an experience in the Renaissance of new cocktails, concocted with the utmost in creativity! The food is very yummy with new takes on classic dishes, such as their beef Stroganoff made with beef cheek...utterly delicious! I’ve never had a bad or even mediocre experience.🥳🥂🍹🍸☕️🥘🥗🍧
